Shared care enables your  birthing hospital of choice and myself (a endorsed midwife) to share your pregnancy care and provide extra support and education.

I believe it is important to have the choice to make informed decisions and feel confident when birthing within the hospital system.

With this choice of maternity care you will see me for most of your antenatal care and also have appointments at the hospital at specific gestation through your pregnancy.  You can also have your postnatal care with me in collaboration with your choice of birthing hospital.

Your appointments will be at my Clinic (Robina- Solace Body Work) –  which will be billed with Medicare rebates.

As I am also a lactation consultant (IBCLC)  you will also have access to breastfeeding support before and after birth as part of your care.

Research shows that having a known care provider during pregnancy results in less hospital admissions, less interventions in labour and birth, higher breastfeeding rates and women being more satisfied with their childbearing experience.
Benefits of having a private midwife to support you in the shared care model include:
  • Skip the wait- at the hospital and the GP- (cause car parking is expensive)
  • Longer appointments- time for me to hear what you want to chat about and answer your questions.
  • Easy access to appointments- my clinic is centrally located on the Gold Coast.
  • Easy access to me- via phone and email
  • Bulk Billed phone appointments available throughout your care.
What you need to do:

  •  We have a booking-in appointment  with myself & your hospital of choice at sometime between 10-16 weeks.
  • For the remainder of your pregnancy & postpartum I can organize all your scans & blood tests that you may wish to consider.
  •  We have appointments at roughly 16 weeks, 20 weeks, 31 weeks, 34 weeks, 38 weeks 39 weeks and 40 weeks.
