Regardless of where you choose to give birth, every woman is entitled to private midwife care & continuity of support.

- Amanda is a Endorsed Midwife- providing pregnancy and post partum care to 6 weeks for you and your baby.
- Amanda offers flexible care- chose the level of care that suits you. Whether it’s full clinical support throughout pregnancy and postpartum, partial clinical care, or care in conjunction with your chosen birthing hospital.
- Appointments with Amanda are unrushed, allowing ample time to cover all your questions and concerns.
- Amanda can coordinate necessary screening and testing throughout your pregnancy. This includes organizing blood tests and ultrasounds, as well as meticulously reviewing results and reports.
- Amanda can provide additional services including Lactation Care and Sleep & Settling Guidance for you and your baby!

- Private midwifery care involves a known midwife providing all your pregnancy care from conception to six weeks after birth.
- Continuity of Care means that Amanda knows from day 1 your personal health history, preferences, values and needs. These important conversations align with her culturally safe and respectful practice model.
- The benefits of continuity of care are well supported by research. You are more likely to have a spontaneous vaginal birth and less likely to use medical pain relief. You can read more here:
- Being an Endorsed Midwife, Amanda is able to order blood tests, ultrasounds, and prescribe medications as needed through your pregnancy and post natal journey.
- If required Amanda can also consult with and refer you to other care providers. If you chose collaborative care-I can work with your chosen obstetrician, GP, or other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless continuity for your pregnancy.

Amanda is an midwife of 28 years experienced in all things pregnancy, birth and beyond.
She has worked in the hospital system and in private practice and knows how important balance, education and above all access to holistic care makes a difference to the journey of birth.
She did swap her heels for sneakers 15 years ago- but does bust them out on the odd occasion.

Please note: Currently it is a professional requirement for Amanda to work in collaboration with your GP and/or the hospital you are booked into.
You will be provided with a midwifery care agreement & consent form to sign before we begin your care. Your consent is required to share your information with your hospital regarding you & your baby’s wellbeing as part of this collaboration process.
Endorsed midwifes-are required to meet professional responsibilities & the requirements of our insurer MIGA, as well being required to work within the framework of the Australian College of Midwives National Guidelines for Consultation and Referral.
This guideline lists circumstances in which, if they arise, Amanda may recommend or refer care to a relevant health practitioner (GP or another midwife) or health service during pregnancy or the postnatal period.
