I believe a good night’s sleep begins during the day, and often families can not afford 3 nights of sleep help in a row. So I come to your house 3 day’s in a row and get the day’s and evenings sorted so you can feel confident and calm with your night’s. Both you and your baby will be better rested and confident.
I have personally been to sleep school and know whilst the medical side of the health of my children was addressed, the sleep and settling side approach was not suitable for my family. I wanted to approach sleep from a WHOLISTIC standpoint of nurturing the bond between my children in regards to sleep health, not from the mindset that they or myself was “somehow broken” and “needed to be fixed”.
AND to be honest the environment scared the hell out of me. My healthy kids in a hospital ward….. it just didn’t make sense.

Happy Testimonial from Alison – Gold Coast:
“My twin boys were born prem so when we bought them home we came from a hospital environment with 6 feeds a day back to 8 feeds. Not just this but we changed to formula which seemed to mess with the boys tummies. This led to the usual twin mum newborn state of exhaustion plus extra problems trying to settle the boys. I knew something was wrong with their tummies and was at my wits end, so my Pediatrician referred me to a local private hospital for 4 day sleep program for some help.
“The nurses were very experienced and reassuring. What we did was try to work on feeding and sleep, plus I got my own room next to the boys so I did (finally) get a bit of rest. The nurses worked on teaching me to let the boys grizzle (not cry) and the difference between a protest cry and an actual cry. I left two days later feeling more confident but it all fell apart again when I got home. I wasn’t comfortable letting them cry and couldn’t distinguish what was a ‘protest’ versus ‘go to sleep cry’.
“At this point I got hold of Amanda through the multiple birth association. I explained my history including reading Save Our Sleep and my hospital visit – turns out both of these approaches rely on a certain amount of controlled crying. I had also read another book which explained that controlled crying can impact on bubs. Through talking to Amanda I realized I did have a choice. Amanda worked with us to establish more baby friendly routines for our boys that were aligned with the way we want to parent. I’m not comfortable with controlled crying; I know it works for some people and I’m not judging anyone. It just wasn’t for us.Amanda has a lot of great resources plus experience parenting both twins and a singleton (twin mum speak), is a midwife and Australia’s first accredited sleep consultant. Plus she is someone who listens and is naturally nurturing and caring.
“My husband and I are so glad we made the right choice for us, we just wish we knew we had the choice first. It seems that the traditional and conventional health care approach involves using controlled comforting (or crying – I think it’s the same). My tip – look into the different approaches to sleep and settling and figure out what suits you. Plus call Amanda if you need a chat or some help”.
