Many families hire child sleep consultants usually a few months after the baby is born, who resort to behavior methods known as sleep training methods such as cry it out, no cry it out or gentle sleep.
Most of these overlook important foundations that are not currently covered and discussed in the most popular sleep resources like books, websites and with your average child sleep consultants.
In addition there is very little support or education exists to support families with sleep challenges other than the myriad of overflow on google which can be simply overwhelming, and impossible to be certain what will work for ones child and be sustainable.

Often health care professionals will advise controlled crying techniques or cry it out techniques for sleepless infants and families because they have little knowledge of – or training – in the holistic, gentler or more nurturing techniques OR simply know NOTHING about sleep health.
Families will delay getting help with their baby or toddlers sleep because they think they’ll be told to shut the door and listen to their child scream endlessly.
Many sleep approaches will overlook a child’s emotional health in order to “fix” a problem. A focus on “how a child is supposed” to behave.
